When you give your dog umbelliferous goitre for the first time, you should therefore only give a small amount and observe his reaction.
  • It can cause bloating or stomach upset if fed in too large a quantity or too often. This is because it contains carbohydrates that are difficult to digest and are fermented by bacteria in the gut. You should therefore only use tuberous goitre as an occasional supplement and not as the main component of your dog's diet.
