The disadvantages of blueberry strudel for dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of puff pastry (or homemade strudel dough)
  • 250 g quark (or cream cheese)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150 g blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 egg yolk (to coat)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into four equal rectangles.
  3. Mix the quark with the egg, honey and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  4. Spread the quark mixture evenly over the bottom half of the pastry rectangles, leaving a border of about 2 cm.
  5. Spread the blueberries over the quark mixture.
  6. Fold the top half of the pastry rectangles over the filling and press the edges firmly with a fork.
  7. Brush the strudels with the egg yolk and prick several times with a fork.
  8. Place the strudels on the baking tray and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove the strudels from the oven and leave to cool slightly.

You have now baked a delicious blueberry strudel for your dog, which you can give him as a special treat. But make sure you don't give him too much and that he drinks enough water. Enjoy your meal!
