Rich in flavonoids

When an ingredient in dog food is described as "rich in flavonoids", it means that it contains a high concentration of flavonoids. Flavonoids are a group of phytochemicals found in many fruits, vegetables, herbs and even some grains. They are known for their antioxidant properties, which can help protect cells from free radical damage. This antioxidant effect is not only beneficial for humans, but also for dogs, as it can help maintain health and prevent disease.

Flavonoids may also have anti-inflammatory properties and contribute to heart health. In dogs, they may help to reduce chronic inflammation and thus alleviate conditions such as arthritis. They may also support healthy heart function.

However, it's important to consider your dog's specific needs and health conditions before changing or supplementing their diet. Not every ingredient is suitable for every dog, and some dogs may even be sensitive or allergic to certain botanicals.
