Fish & Seafood

If the packaging of dog food or the ingredients list says "fish & seafood", it means that the food contains proteins and other nutrients derived from fish and various marine animals such as crabs, shrimps, mussels or squid. These ingredients are an excellent source of protein and often also contain important omega-3 fatty acids, which are very beneficial for the health of your dog's skin, coat and joints.

Omega-3 fatty acids, particularly EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), are known for their anti-inflammatory properties and can help to alleviate discomfort in dogs with allergies or joint problems. They also support cognitive function and vision.

Fish and seafood are also a good source of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin D, B vitamins, zinc and selenium. These nutrients are important for your dog's overall health and well-being.

However, it is important to note that some dogs may be allergic to fish or seafood. When introducing fish or seafood into your dog's diet for the first time, you should be aware of possible allergic reactions.
