  • Sesame meal can lead to flatulence if the dog is not used to it or gets too much of it. This is due to the fiber it contains, which is fermented by the intestinal bacteria. Slow acclimatization and a moderate dosage can prevent this.
  • Sesame meal can impair the absorption of other nutrients if it is fed in excessive quantities. This is due to the phytic acids it contains, which bind minerals such as iron or zinc and reduce their availability. A balanced diet with other feed components can counteract this.
