What is sepiolite?

Sepiolite is obtained by selective mining of deposits found mainly in Spain, Turkey and Morocco.

Sepiolite supports digestion and kidney function in dogs. It binds undesirable substances in the feed, such as heavy metals or mycotoxins, and promotes their excretion. It also protects the gastrointestinal mucosa from damage and helps with diarrhea or vomiting. Sepiolite can also be used for chronic or temporary kidney diseases, as it reduces the phosphorus content in the feed and thus slows down the progression of kidney damage.
