What is honey?

Honey is a natural product made by bees from the nectar of flowers or the honeydew of plants. The bees collect the nectar or honeydew, carry it in their honey stomachs to the beehive and pass it on to other bees, which process it. In the process, they add enzymes to the nectar or honeydew to make it more durable and sweeter. The finished honey is stored in honeycombs and sealed with wax.

What are the benefits of honey for dogs?

What should you bear in mind when giving your dog honey?

Honey is healthy, but also very sweet and high in calories. However, puppies and dogs with weakened immune systems should not be given honey, as it can contain bacterial spores that can be dangerous for these dogs.
