Sugar and glucose syrup are carbohydrates that provide energy. Flavorings and colorings give gummy bears their taste and appearance.
What are the disadvantages of gummy bears for dogs?
However, gummy bears also have some negative effects on dogs. On the one hand, sugar can lead to obesity, tooth decay, diabetes and other metabolic disorders if it is fed too often or in too large quantities. On the other hand, flavorings and colorings can trigger allergies and intolerances or put a strain on the liver and kidneys.
