  • Lung: It is easily digestible and contains a lot of protein, potassium and magnesium. It improves the dog's oxygen supply.

Other organs such as the rumen, gizzard or stomach are not counted as offal. However, they are also valuable components of a raw or cooked diet.

How much offal should my dog get?

The amount of offal depends on the dog's age, weight, activity level and state of health. As a rule of thumb, around 10 to 15 percent of the daily meat ration should consist of offal. Care should be taken to combine different types of offal to ensure an optimal supply of all nutrients.

  • Do not give your dog more than 10 to 15 percent of its meat ration as offal
