What is agar-agar?
Agar-agar is an extract from red algae, which mainly grow in Asia. It has a gel-like consistency and can be used as a thickening or gelling agent. Agar-agar is tasteless and contains no animal ingredients. It is rich in fiber and minerals such as calcium, iron and magnesium.
How does agar-agar work?
Agar-agar has a positive effect on the dog's digestion. It binds water in the intestines and thus promotes intestinal movement and the elimination of toxins. It can also help to stop or prevent diarrhea. Agar-agar can also act as a natural appetite suppressant as it swells in the stomach and creates a feeling of fullness.
What are the benefits of agar agar?
