• Keep calm and reassure your dog
• Try to find the source of the bleeding and stop it
  • For external bleeding: Apply a clean cloth or gauze pad to the wound and maintain pressure for at least 10 minutes. If possible, apply a pressure bandage. Avoid cleaning or disinfecting the wound.
  • For internal bleeding: Lay your dog on his side and keep him warm. Avoid giving him anything to eat or drink.
