Perhaps you have landed here because we wrote to you and asked for information on whether or not dogs are allowed in your area.

With this in mind, we would like to thank all the visitors and participants of our website who have already sent us so much great feedback on where dogs are welcome and where they are not. You are simply amazing!

We read and process all feedback. If there are any questions, we try to answer them, but due to the volume of emails, this can unfortunately take a few days.

Even if the answer to our questions is unfortunately sometimes "no", we are not angry with anyone. We understand that there are legal regulations, that it doesn't make sense because of the cramped or noisy location or that there have simply been negative experiences (especially in the hotel sector). Sometimes it is also the fear of dogs or the desire to be able to offer accommodation to people with allergies. And that's perfectly fine!

As an interim conclusion, we can report that most of the feedback has been very positive. We were delighted to hear your funny stories, cute pictures or important information that you shared with us. For example, we learned that some dog owners are unfortunately not always the best hotel guests because they let their four-legged friends sleep in the bed or scratch the furniture. This is of course not very nice and damages the reputation of all dog owners and ensures that dogs are unwelcome in hotels. That's why we ask you to always make sure that you and your dogs adhere to the rules and etiquette when you are visiting somewhere. We took this for granted, but the many emails we have received have taught us better and we will also try to pass this on to visitors when placing them.

But there was also a lot of positive feedback: some dog owners sent us photos of their dogs or menus especially for dogs (restaurants) as attachments. It was also often mentioned that there is always fresh water or a treat for well-behaved dogs. But what we are most pleased and motivated by is the feedback that this website is a good idea and that the map is already being used to find dog-friendly places!

We would be delighted if you could help us to build up a comprehensive, up-to-date and free database of dog-friendly places. That way we can all have more fun together with our dogs and experience new adventures.

With your help, we can already show whether dogs are allowed in over 370,000 places and the number is growing every day! By the way, you can now vote independently by registering and then selecting the location on our map.
